How we pick which dog breeds get a duck

August 11, 2026 · 4 min read · Sabrina, Southern Finds

A breed duck only works if you recognize the dog in half a second. That means we are not modeling a whole dog — we are modeling the three features that make your dog unmistakably yours, then hanging them on a duck body.

The three-feature test

  • Ears. Folded, cropped, floppy or bat-like. Get the ears right and the rest follows.
  • Coat. Long, double, curly, short. We change the silhouette, not the paint.
  • Expression. A Shiba squint is a different animal from a Husky stare, and both have to survive being shrunk to three inches.

Breeds we hear about most

The current top requests are Bernese Mountain Dog, Border Collie, Cane Corso, Jack Russell and Great Pyrenees. Requests through the contact form genuinely do move the queue — a breed with three or more asks jumps ahead of our own list.

If your breed is not in the catalog yet, tell us the breed and the coat color you actually own. We will let you know where it sits in the queue.
