What actually survives the mail

We have shipped tens of thousands of figurines in padded mailers and boxes. The breakage rate is low, and the failures cluster around two specific shapes.

What breaks

  • Thin protrusions: a raised arm, an antenna, a tail that tapers to a point. These snap if the parcel is crushed against a hard edge.
  • Tall, narrow pieces with a small footprint. They tip inside the mailer and take the impact on the tallest point.

What never breaks

Compact, chunky pieces are effectively indestructible in transit. A duck with a wide base and no thin extensions can be dropped on concrete without damage. That is not luck — it is a design choice we make on purpose, and it is why our catalog leans toward solid shapes.

The best packaging decision is made in the slicer, not at the packing table.

If something does arrive broken, send a photo. We replace it rather than asking you to ship it back, because return postage on a damaged figurine costs more than the piece.
