What we will not sell

We say no more often than people expect. Not out of principle in most cases — usually because the result would be bad and we would have to stand behind it.

What we turn down

  • Anything that copies another maker's design. We will happily make you something original in that spirit instead.
  • Pieces with real weapons or realistic firearms as part of the design.
  • Anything intended for a child under three, which rules out very small sizes and anything with detachable parts.
  • Food-contact items where the layer lines would trap residue, regardless of how the request is phrased.

The most common no

Requests to print something enormous. A model that is beautiful at three inches often becomes a rough, striated object at twelve, because the layer lines scale with it. We would rather decline than ship something that looks like a mistake at that size.

A no costs us one order. A bad yes costs us the customer.

If we do turn something down, we usually suggest a version that would work — a different size, a different material, or a different approach to the same idea.
